Well said, this is just SEO growing with constant change as always. We have a new angle of AI hype and a new area to possibly rank or be an advantage in. Unfortunately AI is far from the hype selling VC for sam. I still promote SEO to GEO/AEO because no SEO no GEO
I loved this. My head is about to explode on LinkedIn right now because of this nonsense. People are really losing their ever-loving minds, and honestly, I blame some of the big SEO SaaS companies for fanning the flames here on this topic. The most recent graphic about Reddit and LinkedIn being the top cited domains in AI comes to mind. They barely qualify or quantify the data outside of company page size and post interactions. They also fail to mention that the vast majority of this content is being pulled from Google's index vs. the actual platform since LI has a pretty strong anti-AI scraping policy and Reddit and Google have an alliance (sorry, I had to say that). Keep up the amazing work and thanks for letting me rant here too!
Keep it up! It got me to sigh, get prepared to disagree with you politely, hope we would remain friends, read, realize we agree, and then leave a comment. Mission accomplished.

Agreed! I suspect there is a lot of nervous leaders frantically trying to get their brand associated with “early adoption” and “expert” 🤮
It’s not SEO vs GEO. It’s lazy strategy.’
That line alone is worth the read 🔥
sometimes we just have to call it what it is... even if it makes people feel uncomfortable and/or mad.
I disagree with the headline because I misunderstood where you were going with it. Great stuff as always.
If nothing else, you can always expect me to have a salacious title ;)

Don’t you love that? Start framing a POV to only hit one section that rationalizes the initial “issue” we disagreed lol.
I'm going to argue with you some time soon just to make sure I don't get out of practice.
